Robert John was born on January 1st, 1914 in Marcus (Williams Siding), Washington. Robert John's father was Elisha Smith Miller and his mother was Lillian Sophia Sargent. His maternal grandparents are Gilbert Sargent and Frances A. Gilbert. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Harry Sargent, Ernest Eugene, Albert, Dorothy Anna Lora and Frances Aileen. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 36 on December 15th, 1950 in Brookings, Oregon. He was buried in Gold Beach, Oregon.-
