David was born on October 14th, 1679 in Milton, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. David's father was Thomas Horton and his mother was Sarah Harmon. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Horton and Mary Eddy; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Harmon and Mary Bliss. He was an only child.
