Susan was born on August 14th, 1879 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Susan's father was Herman Carl Herold and her mother was Susan A. Sargent. Her maternal grandparents were Jonathan Sargent and Sally Person. She had a brother and four sisters, named Charles, Bertha H., Bertha Augusta, Anna and Etta Julia (iulia). She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 93 on January 25th, 1973 in Providence, Rhode Island.General Notes
