William II De Warrene 
William II was born about 1081 in Sussex, England. William II's father was William De Warenne and his mother was Matilda Gundred. His paternal grandparents were Rudolf II De Warenne and Emma Torta; his maternal grandparents were William and Matilda De Flanders. He had a sister named Edith. He was the older of the two children. He died on May 11th, 1138 in Lewes, SussexEngland. He was buried in Chapter House, Priory of Lewes, Sussex, England.General Notes
Rebuilt, enlarged, and strengthened Lewes Castle which is now used as t
museum of Sussex Archeaeological Society. William founded Cluniac Prio
in 1078, now a ruin, and endowed the chapter house of the Priory.
2nd Earl of Warrenand 2nd Earl of Surrey, joined Robert de Belesme, Earl
of Arundel and Shrewsbury, in favor of Robert Curthose, against King
Henry I., and in consequence forfeited his English earldom and estates;
but those were subsequently restored to him, and he was ever afterwar
good and faithful subject to King Henry.

daughter of Edward the Elder, King of England, son of Alfred the Great,
King of England. Isabel was also thewidow of Robert, Earl of Mellent,
and granddaughter of King Henry I of France.
