Althera M. was born in April 1832. Althera M.'s father was Abner Colby and her mother was Mary Louisa Lindsay. Her paternal grandparents are Abner Colby and Elizabeth Ford. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Charles Grandison, Orson, Milo J., Judson, Edward James, George, William Oscar, Herbert, Orissa Elsameda, Susan Climera and Amaretta P.. She was the third oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 84 on November 27th, 1916 in Johnville, Quebec, Canada.-
