Luther Mckay was born on August 5th, 1899 in Union Township, Marion, Missouri. Luther Mckay's father was Henry Solon Chatfield and his mother was Elizabeth Achsa Or Axie Watson. His paternal grandparents were Nelson Chatfield and Hannah Ward. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Hurley Rosell, Jaudon Benjamin, Carl S, Virgia May, Pearl Elizabeth and Marjorie Belle. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 79 on April 26th, 1979 in Quincy, Adams, Illinois. He was buried on April 29th, 1979 in Greenwood Cem, Palmyra, Marion, Missouri.General Notes
