Arfila was born on June 1st, 1871 in Nankin Township, Wayne County Michigan. Arfila's father was Edmond B. Bills and her mother was Emma Palmer. Her paternal grandparents were Ira Bills and Mary Ann Haywood. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Fred William, Hosea M., Jay B., Adah Falena and Clara C.. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 6 in 1877 in Nankin Township, Wayne County Michigan. She was buried in Nankin Township, Wayne County Michigan.-
