Sarah Jane was born in 1863 in Eaton, Quebec, Canada. Sarah Jane's father is John Cook Bailey and her mother was Hannah Colby. Her maternal grandfather was Rufus Colby. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Rufus Craig, Christopher Orasmus, John Cook, Amanda Diama, Esther Mary, Harriet Luvia, Persis Abigail and Susan Maria. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 88 on October 24th, 1951 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.-
