Margaret was born about 1283 in Carrick, Argyllshire, Scotland. Margaret's father was Robert De Bruce and her mother was Marjorie (Margaret) UNKNOWN. Her paternal grandparents were Robert "The Competitor" Bruce and Isabel De Clare; her maternal grandparents were Nicolaus Kennedy and Marjorie (Margaret) Stewart. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Robert, Edward, Nigel (Niel), Thomas, Alexander, Isabella, Matilda, Elizabeth, Margery, Christiana and Mary. She had two half-sisters named Isobel and Juliana. She died in 1334.General Notes
