James IV of was born in Stirling Castle, Stirlingshire, Scotland.  James IV of's father was James III Stewart of Scotland and his mother was Margaret of Denmark.  His paternal grandparents were James II "Hearty James" Stewart and Maria Van Gelre; his maternal grandparents were Christian I of Denmark and Dorothy of Brandenburg.  He was an only child.  He died on September 9th, 1513 in Battle of Flodden Field.  He was buried in Shene Abbey, Surrey.

‌James IV of and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony in 1496.  They had a daughter named Margaret Jane.


James IV of's second family with Margaret Tudor

‌James IV of and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on August 8th, 1503 in Holyrod Abbey.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Son, James V Stewart of, Alexander, Daughter and Daughter.
