William Evans 
William was born on August 15th, 1818 in TN. William's father was Joseph Evans and his mother was Amelia Hawkins. His paternal grandparents were Robert Evans and Sarah Hetty May; his maternal grandfather was Edward Hawkins. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Evan, Robert, Edward, Joseph Jr., Margaret Frances, Frances, Sarah Eloise and Amelia Millie. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jefferson C., James Franklin, Willis Granbury, John and Matilda Jane.-
