'Robert Bruce and Euphame Montgomery his spouse', had charter from Patrick Colquhoun of Glen, of lands in Wester Baldorane in the earldom of Lennox, dated Baldorane, 24 October 1496 [Armstrong p. xiv, cites Ex Acta Dom. Adherent of the party of Prince James (later James IV), the castle of Airth was attacked by royal forces in 1488.  'In 1488-89 he had a recept for a certain sum in the Lord Treasurer's accounts "to the byggin of his place of Ercht that was byrnt, c ti" before he battle of Sachie by the forces of James III.'  [Armstrong p. 13; p. xv, cites Accounts of the Lord High Treasurer of Scotland, vol. i. 1473 to 1498, p. 90]

'Robert Brois of Arthe', party to the concord with William Mentieth of Kerse and his other uncles concerning the murder of his father, as appointed by the Lords of Council at Edinburgh, 18 Oct. 1490 [Armstrong, pp. xi-xii]
