Lester Hugh's father was John Thomas Terry and his mother was Martha Elizabeth (Mattie) Riddle. His paternal grandparents are John Wesley *Terry and Nancy Lewis *Ferguson; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Preston Riddle and Mary Ann Bass. He has five brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin Wesley, Emmett Lee, John Willis, Ross Lewis, Russel Deyo, Ura, Carey Crane, Mary Odessa and Mattie Faye.-
