Reuben was born in 1829 in Jefferson Co.,Florida.1 Reuben's father was Samuel Jordan and his mother was Nancy *unknown. His paternal grandfather is Nathan Jordan Sr.. He has three brothers and a sister, named William, Jeremiah, Cole and Nancy. He is the second youngest of the five children. He has four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Arnold, Elias, Ashford, Joseph, Mary J., Sarah and Martha M..
