Roxanna (Roxy) Bittle 
Roxanna, known as Roxy, was born in 1826 in North Carolina.1 Roxy's father was John Bittle and her mother is Sarah *Gathings. Her paternal grandfather was Jesse Bittle and her paternal grandmother is Tabitha *unknown. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Burwell, Irvin, Wesley, Eliza Jane, Emily Bittle, Usley, Narcissa and Elmira. She died at the age of 42 in 1868.2 -
