John was born about 1658 in Curles Plantation, Henrico Co., Va. John's father is Robert+ Woodson and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth+ Ferris. His paternal grandparents were John Woodson and Sarah Winston; his maternal grandfather was Richard Ferris and his maternal grandmother is Nm+ X. He had a brother and a sister, named Benjamin+ and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the three children. He died on December 5th, 1715 in Henrico, VA.General Notes
