1920 U.S. Federal Census for Walla Walla, Hill Precinct shows 42-year-old Winston L as head of household with wife Lillian E. (?).  Living with them are Roy F. (age 22 years and listed as stepson) and Maria (G? age 19 years) Whitaker, Roy's wife.
1930 U.S. Federal Census shows Roy F. Whitaker (age 32) and wife Maria G. (age 28), Yakima Co., Washington.  Roy's father and mother are listed as from Oregon and Iowa, respectively.  Maria's parents are listed as from Kansas and Iowa, respectively.   Roy's occupation is Carpenter for "Poster Co." and Maria as cafe waitress.
