Silas Seldon was born in 1754 in Prince Edward Co., VA. Silas Seldon's father was Joel Watkins and his mother was Rhoda Gresham. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Watkins and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Pride; his maternal grandparents are Nm Gresham and Barbara Holcombe. He was an only child.
