Isotta was born in 1354.  Isotta's father was Barnabo+ Visconti and her mother is Beltrameda Cassa.  Her paternal grandparents were Stefano+ Visconti and Valentina+ Doria. She had five half-brothers and fifteen half-sisters, named Carlo, Sagromoro, Lancellotto, Ettore, Ambrogio, Verde, Taddea, Caterina, Maddalena+, Antonia, Agnese, Elisabetta, Louise, Lucia, Donnina, Soprana, Ginevra, Beroarda, Enrica and Ricciarda.  She died at the age of 34 in 1388.
