Nicolas was born in 1577 in Hothfield, Kent, England. Nicolas' father was John Tufton and his mother is Christian Brown. His maternal grandfather was Humphrey Brown and his maternal grandmother is Agnes Hussey. He was an only child. He died at the age of 55 on June 30th, 1632 in Sapcote, Leicestershire, England.
