Joseph Taylor 
Joseph was born on February 19th, 1742 in Rapidan, Orange Co., VA. Joseph's father was John Powell Taylor and his mother was Catherine Pendleton. His paternal grandparents were James Cary Taylor and Mary Bishop Gregory; his maternal grandfather was Philip Pendleton and his maternal grandmother is Isabella Hurt. He was an only child. He died at the age of 73 on May 31st, 1815 in Townsville, Granville Co., NC.General Notes
