Robert was born about 1553 in Berwickshire, Scotland. Robert's father was John Swinton and his mother is Katherine Lauder. His paternal grandfather was John Swinton and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Home. He was an only child. He died on January 15th, 1628.General Notes
