Alexander was born about 1730 in Chester, PA.  Alexander's father was Robert Stuart and his mother is Martha Richardson.  His paternal grandfather is Alexander Stewart and his paternal grandmother was Mary Bailey. He had a brother and a sister, named Jehu and Catherine.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died in 1767 in Cane Creek Mm, NC.
