William Strode 
William was born in 1589 in Shepton Malet, Somersetshire, England. William's father was William Strode and his mother was Elizabeth Upton. His paternal grandparents were Edward Strode and Alice Whiting; his maternal grandfather was Geoffrey Upton and his maternal grandmother is Mary Hone. He was an only child.
