Clotilde De was born on March 2nd, 1843 in Turin. Clotilde De's father was Vittorio-Emanuele II De Savoie-Carignano and her mother was Maria Adelheid Von Habsburg-Lothringen. Her paternal grandparents were Carlo Alberto De Savoie-Carignano and Maria Teresa Von Habsburg-Lothringen. She was an only child.
