Christopher II was born about 1496 in Madresfield, Worcestershire, England. Christopher II's father was Christopher Savage and his mother is Anne Stanley. His paternal grandparents were John IV Savage and Catherine Stanley; his maternal grandfather was John Stanley and his maternal grandmother is Ann Hanford. He was an only child.
