Mathieu De was born about 1378. Mathieu De's father was Jean De Roye and his mother is Jeanne De Bethune. His paternal grandfather was Mathieu De Roye and his paternal grandmother is Jeanne De Cherisy; his maternal grandfather was Jean I De Bethune and his maternal grandmother is Jeanne De Courcy.
