Aymery II De La was born about 1255. Aymery II De La's father was Gui VI De La Rochefoucauld and his mother was Agnes De Rochechouart. His paternal grandfather was Aimery I De La Rochefoucauld and his paternal grandmother is Letice De Parthenay; his maternal grandparents were Aymery VIII De Rochechouart and Marguerite De Limoges.
