Simon De was born about 1215. Simon De's father was Aymery VII De Rochechouart and his mother is Alix De Mortemart. His paternal grandfather was Aymery VI De Rochechouart and his paternal grandmother is Luce De Perusse des Cars. He had a brother named Aymery VIII De. He was the younger of the two children.
