Hosea Holcombe was born on September 30th, 1776 in Spartanburg Co., SC. Hosea Holcombe's father was Ambrose Ray and his mother was Elizabeth Holcombe. His maternal grandfather was John Holcombe and his maternal grandmother is Eleanor X. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Judith. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 83 on February 3rd, 1860 in Union, SC. He was buried in Padgett Creek, Union, SC.General Notes
