Beatriz was born about 1380. Beatriz's father is Nuno Alvares Pereira and her mother is Leonor Anes De Alvim. Her paternal grandparents are Alvaro Gonsalves Pereira and Iria Gonsalves De Carvalhal; her maternal grandparents are Joao Pires De Alvim and Branca Peres Coelho. She was an only child.
