Dorothea Payne 
Dorothea was born on May 20th, 1768 in Guilford Co., NC. Dorothea's father was John Payne and her mother was Mary W. Coles. Her paternal grandfather was Josiah Payne and her paternal grandmother is Hannah Fleming. She was an only child. She died at the age of 81 on July 12th, 1849 in Washington D.C.. She was buried in Montpellier, Orange Co., VA.General Notes
