Benedetto XIII was born on February 2nd, 1649 in Gravina. Benedetto XIII's father was Ferrante Orsini and his mother was Giovanna Frangipane. His paternal grandfather was Pietro Orsini and his paternal grandmother is Dorotea Orsini. He had a brother named Domenico. He was the older of the two children.
