Robert II De+ was born in 1240 in Raby, Durham, England. Robert II De+'s father was Geoffrey Fitzrobert De+ Neville and his mother is Margaret Joan+ X. His paternal grandparents were Robert+ Fitzmaldred and Isabel De+ Neville. He had two brothers named Hugh De+ and Geoffrey De+. He was the youngest of the three children. NOTE: Last source informs us that Sir Robert II de Neville was born of a first wife, which is listed as unknown. A first wife of Robert's father is listed as "Ida de Bertram", with no offspring listed. Other sources place Robert with the other siblings with mother "Margaret Joan ?". This may be the "unknown first wife". There is an "Ada de Bertram" born about the same time who married Simon de Vere. This could possibly be the same woman , but I have seen no concrete information to verify this. For the time being, I will leave Robert in this place, but this may all change if the mothers, their identities, and their children come to light for this author. (vjb 07/2004)
