Robert was born about 1465. Robert's father was William Moton and his mother is Margaret Harcourt. His paternal grandfather was Robert+ Moton and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Mulsho; his maternal grandparents were Robert Harcourt and Margaret Byron. He was an only child.
