Hugh De+ was born about 1191 in Wigmore, Hereford, England. Hugh De+'s father was Roger De+ Mortimer and his mother was Isabel De+ Ferrers. His paternal grandfather was Hugh II De+ Mortimer and his paternal grandmother is Maud De+ Meschines; his maternal grandfather was William De+ Ferrers and his maternal grandmother is Godeut De+ Toeni. He had a brother and a sister, named Ralph De+ and Sined+. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had two half-sisters named Juliane De and Joane De+.
