Hugh De+ was born about 1220 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. Hugh De+'s father was Ralph De+ Mortimer and his mother was Gwladus Verch Llewelyn (Ddu) Of+ Gwynedd. His paternal grandparents were Roger De+ Mortimer and Isabel De+ Ferrers; his maternal grandfather was Llewelyn Mawr ap Iowerth Of+ Gwynedd and his maternal grandmother is Tangwstyl Verch+ Llywarch. He had a brother and a sister, named Roger De+ and Joan De. He was the oldest of the three children. He died about January 1273.General Notes
