William was born about 1483 in Pen-Coed, Llanfarthin, Monmouthshire, England. William's father is Thomas+ Morgan and his mother is Jane+ Herbert. His paternal grandfather was Morgan Ap+ Jenkin and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth+ Vaughan; his maternal grandfather was John+ Herbert and his maternal grandmother is Margred Verch+ Lewys. He had two sisters named Maud+ and Elsbeth. He was the youngest of the three children. He died on October 25th, 1542.General Notes
