Roger De+ was born in 1240 in Cornwall, England. Roger De+'s father is Nicholas De+ Moels and his mother is Hawise+ Newmarsh. His paternal grandfather is Roger De+ Moels; his maternal grandfather was James+ Newmarsh and his maternal grandmother is Maud+ X. He was an only child. He died before June 17th, 1295.General Notes

"Roger de Moels was an adherent to King Henry III in the barons' war, and in 1267 he was one of the keepers of the Isle of Wight. On March 2, 1267/8, he had a grant of a weekly market and yearly fair at his manor of Kings Carswell, County Devon. In 1277, 5th year of King Edward I, he took part in the Welsh campaign, and was one of the barons of West Wales guaranteeing the peace with Rhys ap Meredith, and in 1282 was again in Welsh wars. In the beginning of the reign of Edward I (1272-1307) he had the castle and honour of Lampadervaur, in Cardigan in Wales, committed to his custody; and having married Alice, the daughter of William de Preux, died the 13th of Edward I, 1294, being then seized of the Manors of Naperton, Caddebury and Halton in County Somerset, with other manors in several counties, part of the Barony of Newmarch, whereof he held the moiety.
Roger and Hawise [???] had a son Nicholas, 2nd Baron Moels, who died in 1316; a 2nd son Roger, 3rd Baron Moels, died unmarried before July 13, 1295, and a 3rd son, John de Moels, 4th Baron Moels."
