William Franklin was born on July 29th, 1833 in Flemingsburg, Fleming, KY.  William Franklin's father was Stephen C. Jones and his mother is Sarah Jane Kelly. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Louis E., James B., Ebenezer C., Cynthia Belle and Sabina.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 85 on March 7th, 1919 in OK.
