Emily was born before August 1826 in Cane Creek, NC. Emily's father was Charles Hobson and her mother was Zerusha Moffett-Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Hobson and Emeline Marshall. She was an only child. She died on June 8th, 1899 in Coos River, OR. She was buried in Coos River Cemetery, OR.General Notes
