Elizabeth was born on March 30th, 1792 in Chatham Co., NC. Elizabeth's father was Isaac Hobson and her mother was Emeline Marshall. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Hobson and Sarah Beck; her maternal grandparents were William Marshall and Rebecca Dixon. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Charles, Simon, William, Isaac, Jesse, Aaron, Sarah and Rebecca. She is the oldest of the nine children.General Notes
