Al-Hassan ibn Ali Hachemite 
Al-Hassan ibn Ali was born in 0622. Al-Hassan ibn Ali's father was Ali Hashim ibn Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Mu'ttalib and his mother is Fatima az-Zahra bint Muhammed. His paternal grandfather was Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hashemites and his paternal grandmother is Fatima bint Assad ibn Hashemites; his maternal grandparents were Muhammed ibn 'Abd Allah al-Mustafa+ Hashemites and Kadidja bint+ Khuwaylid. He had a brother named Al-Hussein ibn Ali. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 48 in 0670.General Notes
"After the assassination of his father....Al-Hassan succeeded him to become the fifth Caliph and the second Iman. However, his Caliphate lasted only six months due to the growing strength of Mu'awiyah, the Umayadd governor of Damascus. Al-Hassan died some eight years after his abdication, in the city of al-Medina al-Munawwara. The descendants of Al-Hassan are known as "Sharifs" and King Hussein bin Talal (was) head of the Sharifian branch of the Hashemite lineage, representing the forty-second generation of direct male descend(ants) from the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)"
