Elizabeth was born on May 10th, 1741 in Southwick, Durham, England. Elizabeth's father was George Grey and her mother was Elizabeth Ogle. Her paternal grandfather is George Grey and her paternal grandmother was Alice Clavering; her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Ogle and Elizabeth Newton. She was an only child.
