Paola was born about 1487. Paola's father was Rodolfo Gonzaga and her mother was Caterina Pico. Her paternal grandparents were Lodovico II Gonzaga and Barbara Von Hohenzollern. She had two brothers named Gianfrancesco and Luigi Alessandro. She is the oldest of the three children. She has a half-brother named Ettore.-
