John was born on May 5th, 1807 in NY. John's father is James Grant Forbes and his mother was Frances Elizabeth Blackwell. His paternal grandparents were John Forbes and Dorothy Murray. He was an only child. He died at the age of 78 on October 11th, 1885 in Elizabeth, NJ.General Notes
