Roger Bernard III De was born in 1243. Roger Bernard III De's father is Roger IV De Foix and his mother was Brunissende De Cardona. His paternal grandparents are Roger Bernard II De Foix and Ermessinde De Castelbon-Cerdagne. He had two sisters named Sibylle De and Esclarmonde De. He was the second oldest of the three children.
