Gerald Fitzmaurice was born about 1215 in Adare, Ireland. Gerald Fitzmaurice's father was Maurice+ Fitzgerald and his mother is Juliana De+ Cogan. His paternal grandparents were Gerald Fitzmaurice+ Fitzgerald and Eva De+ Bermingham; his maternal grandfather is John De+ Cogan.
