Odard+ was born about 1046 in Cotenin, Manche, Normandy, France and his baptism took place in Of, Dutton, Cheshire, England. Odard+'s father was Yvron Bellomontensis De+ Cotentin and his mother is Emma De+ Bretagne. His paternal grandfather was Neil III De+ Saint Sauveur and his paternal grandmother is Adele+ D' Eu; his maternal grandparents are Geoffroy II+ De Bretagne and Hedwige Of+ Normandy. He had two brothers and a sister, named Nigel De+, Walter De+ and Nm De+. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died in Dutton, Cheshire, England.General Notes
The First Duttons: "...In the eleventh century, there were are number of people in Cheshire, England who could have called themselves De Dutton, the original family surname. That was because they were (all from) Dutton, which was originally known as Duntune, meaning town on a hill. However, it was Odard, who came to England in the train of William the Conqueror and was granted a third of the township in 1086, that first used it as his surname."
