His paternal grandfather was Archibald+ Douglas and his paternal grandmother is Dornagilda+ Comyn; his maternal grandfather was Thomas+ Stewart and his maternal grandmother is Margaret+ Sinclair. He had a sister named Margaret+. He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James+ and Jean+. He died about 1402.General Notes
